Grant's Cleaning House:
The UFO phenomenon has been an elusive mystery to the UFO research community. It has not been very repeatable, is almost impossible to measure, and doesn't seem to follow any of the laws of nature. The problem may be that we have started out on the wrong foot. Most of what we have done in terms of research we have tried to fit into the scientific materialistic paradigm. In that world view the universe starts with a big bang. This scientific materialistic paradigm would have us believe is that the universe, all energy, and all the laws that came with the universe such as gravity, laws of motion, and electromagnetic force sprang from nothing in a single moment for no reason.
Psychonaut, lecturer, and writer Terence McKenna talked of this paradigm, "Please notice that is the limit case for credulity. Do you know what I mean by that? I mean if you can believe that, you can believe anything. That is the most improbable proposition the human mind can conceive of. Modern science is based on the principle: 'Give us one free miracle and we'll explain the rest.'" To understand the UFO mystery it may help to start off on the right foot, with a consciousness model of the universe. In this model all each of us knows for sure is that we are conscious and aware. That is it. Everything else, because it passes through and is interpreted by the mind is a subjective experience.
In such a model the mind is the builder and everything else may not quite it appears to be. Take matter, for example, which is the basis for the materialistic world view. In a consciousness model most of what we think is matter is actually space. The solid nature of matter is a subjective interpretation. The space makes up 99.9999999999999% of the volume of what we think is matter. In fact, to put into perspective how much space there is, we could take all 7+ billion human beings on the Earth, and remove all the space between their material atomic structure and we would be left with a pile of matter about the size of a grain of rice. The material structure of matter is actually created by the electromagnetic forces that hold the matter in place and by the chemical bonding forces. These again are two elements that materialistic science requires to have appeared from nothing and for no reason as part of the big bang miracle. They are laws that are required on big bang day one and not elements that evolved.
Working from a consciousness understanding the UFO world starts to be easier to explain. Stories such as people being moved through walls and closed windows no longer seem to unbelievable. Both the body and the wall are almost all space and the task is not that difficult once the rules are understood. It would be as simple as the aliens know the rules and moving one seemingly solid object through another seemingly solid object is not that big a task. Modern physics and biology haves begun to move towards the consciousness model of the universe. Consider the following experiments:
· Entangled particle experiments – which Einstein called spooky action at a distance which shows that two particles can become entangled so that they retain a non-local connection that has been estimated to be 10,000 times the speed to light to instant[i] even when separated over long distances. Time and space are not factors as would be expected in a totally physical based world. If this experiment is valid then the idea that UFOs must obey physical laws as we presently define them goes out the window. It would also predict that if we detonated trillions of particles in a July 1945 atomic bomb explosion that civilizations who fully grasp the laws of an entangled universe would know what we had done and would show up in large numbers as UFOs have done since 1945 to monitor the situation.
· Double-slit experiment[ii] – repeatedly showed that observation of the experiment affected the result of the experiment. The experiment showed that our consciousness creates our reality rather than being an observer to concrete physical events. UFO events therefore are not necessarily unchanging physical events but maybe co-creators with the mind of the observer. Once it is accepted that the mind creates reality anything is possible.
· Morphogenetic Field Experiments – there are many which illustrate this effect but the main one, referenced by Rupert Sheldrake who came up with the idea of morphogenetic fields, was an experiment conducted at Harvard University starting in 1920.[iii] In the experiment rats were trained over 21 generations and 15 years to move through a water maze to obtain food. The succeeding generations of rats made less and less mistakes indicating some sort of genetic memory being passed from generation to generation helping the rats get their food.
Later, however, in an identical experiment run in Australia the same rats, but not genetically related to the Harvard rats, ran the maze even better right from the start, indicating the learning was not genetic but being tapped by the rats from some sort of field. Experiments with other animals confirmed some sort of non-local morphic field where minds were loading information and where other minds could later tap from while loading their own information.
This universal mind concept is central to information being provided by people who have had encounters with so-called aliens. It is almost a standard message. The idea being presented is that the aliens can access information and operate in what is basically a 3-D holographic universe. This 3-D universe is inside us "since the 'reality' of everything external to you (i.e. – the Universe), is ultimately transmitted to you (to your mind) via your five senses. The Universe or your Universe is therefore only perceived and interpreted by and within your mind."[iv] At this point the physical understanding of the universe saying extraterrestrial visitation is impossible is dead.
· Mind machine experiments or symbiotic machines – the idea that the mind can interact and control the physical environment is shown dramatically in an experiment done a decade ago a with neural network of 25,000 neurons from a rat's brain in a petri dish attached to electrodes. The neurons slowly adapted to the point where the neurons started to communicate with the other neurons, as opposed to dying as the physical world view would predict. This mass of neurons eventually learned to fly an F-22 jet fighter simulator which is hard for the best trained pilots. The primitive rat brain learned to control the pitch and roll of the aircraft. After a while, it produces a nice straight and level trajectory, even after the worst weather conditions possible were loaded into the simulator.[v]
This experiment backs up many stories told by contactees that in a similar way the aliens fly the flying saucer using their mind, Many contactees further have reported that they have been trained how to do this and that they have used their minds to fly the ships. This experiment shows the power of the mind to control reality. The aliens simply understand how consciousness works and employ its potential. When we use the consciousness model for the world it is easier to see what the government may have figured out about UFOs. In the Top Secret Canadian memo that detailed what the American officials had shared about the flying saucer mystery the statement that "mental phenomena" might be involved. This clearly shows that the consciousness model to explain the mystery was in play.
In the same vein, former President of the engineering Ivy League Penn State University cut off an interview on UFOs to state "Unless you understand about ESP and how it works, you will not be taken on. Very few understand about it." The most significant statements that indicate the consciousness model as the Rosetta stone to understanding the UFO problem came from Ben Rich who was president of Lockheed Skunk Works. Lockheed is and was a top black budget technology company that works on the leading edge of technology. Much of its direction came from the Defense Advanced Projects Research Agency (DARPA) whose role was "DARPA's mission is to maintain the technological superiority of the U.S. military and prevent technological surprise from harming our national security by sponsoring revolutionary, high-payoff research bridging the gap between fundamental discoveries and their military use." Rich first hinted that Skunk Works was working on the UFO problem during a speech he gave at WPAFB in 1991 where he showed a slide with a flying saucer on it.
Then during a speech to the UCLA engineering Alumni at UCLA in 1993 Rich confirmed that the UFO problem had been solved saying they had discovered the mistake in the equation and that we now have the technology to take ET home. Most importantly Rich spelled out the consciousness connection "Anything you can imagine we can already do." This closely ties into statements that have been made about the power of the mind such as Napoleon Hill who said "Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve," or Jesus who stated "if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
Jan Harzan, one of the attendees of the Rich lecture questioned Rich after the lecture asking what do UFOs use for propulsion. Rich's reply went straight to the mind as opposed to some new physical propulsion system. He asked Harzan. "What do you know about ESP.?" When Harzan said, "That means that all things in time and space are connected," Rich confirmed the consciousness basis of the alien technology saying, "That's how it works."
As a final observation consider one common element in the UFO story that has rarely been discussed in UFO literature. There are many complaints about the fact that there are very few common elements in description of UFOs or the aliens that fly them. At the same time the argument is made that the physical laws of the universe clearly show that extraterrestrials can't get here from there. There is one description given by almost every contactee which shows the non-local and non- physical nature of the beings that are being dealt with. Almost without exception contactees state that the aliens are telepathic. We are not. We are still in the stone age on the issue, and that is what separates their ability to travel the universe and our disbelief that it can be done. The aliens understand the power of conscious which is exhibited by their ability to use telepathy without any noise. Whether you call it telepathy, consciousness, or the mind – as Ben Rich and Dr. Eric Walker said "That is how it works."
Some elements of the UFO community have adopted the consciousness model of the universe to help explain how UFOs do what they appear to do. The military black budget world also seems to understand the consciousness connection and have developed the alien technology. Once main stream science drops some of its religious views of the reality of the universe we will be off to the races on building a new and improved world.
