A new era of collective participation is upon us which contribute to the unfolding of new realities.

Here’s a window into a tragedy within the American military:
For every soldier killed on the battlefield this year, about 25 veterans
are dying by their own hands.

From:  http://www.whatreallyhappened.com

An American soldier dies every day and a half, on average, in Iraq or
Afghanistan. Veterans kill themselves at a rate of one every 80 minutes.
More than 6,500 veteran suicides are logged every year — more than the
total number of soldiers killed in Afghanistan and Iraq combined since
those wars began.

Synopsis:
When the private banks make money they pay the owners and executives
large bonuses. When they lose money they got the government/taxpayers
to bail them out - and then pay themselves large bonuses.

On the Occupy Wall Street Protests …
michael-moore    Friends,
And now it is winter. Wall Street rejoices, hoping that the change of seasons will mean a change in our spirit, our commitment to stop them.

They couldn't be more wrong. Have they not heard of Washington and the troops at Valley Forge? The Great Flint Sit-Down Strike in the winter of 1936-37? The Michigan Wolverines crushing Ohio State in the 1950 Blizzard Bowl? When it comes to winter, it is the time historically when the people persevere and the forces of evil make their retreat!

Grassroots Momentum Builds Toward Passage of a Constitutional Amendment

LOS ANGELES, CA – Next week the Los Angeles City Council will vote on a resolution that calls on Congress to amend the Constitution to clearly establish that only living persons -- not corporations -- are endowed with constitutional rights and that money is not the same as free speech. If this resolution is passed, Los Angeles will be the first major city in the U.S. to call for an end to all corporate constitutional rights.

wolf-naomi184    US citizens of all political persuasions are still reeling from images of unparallelled police brutality in a coordinated crackdown against peaceful OWS protesters in cities across the nation this past week. An elderly woman was pepper-sprayed in the face; the scene of unresisting, supine students at UC Davis being pepper-sprayed by phalanxes of riot police went viral online; images proliferated of young women – targeted seemingly for their gender – screaming, dragged by the hair by police in riot gear; and the pictures of a young man, stunned and bleeding profusely from the head, emerged in the record of the middle-of-the-night clearing of Zuccotti Park.

Friends,

This past weekend I participated in a four-hour meeting of Occupy Wall Street activists whose job it is to come up with the vision and goals of the movement. It was attended by 40+ people and the discussion was both inspiring and invigorating. Here is what we ended up proposing as the movement's "vision statement" to the General Assembly of Occupy Wall Street:
