My experience has shown me that if consciousness is not your absolute
priority then any other level of searching is just entertainment. Which is
fun in itself, but not ultimately fulfilling.

If you still think a relationship/having children are going to do anything
for you in that direction you need to do it -- and find out for yourself.

It is not that that direction is not enlightening -- everything is, every
moment, but if you are not fully conscious in each moment then you are just
diverting.

And if you are fully conscious in the moment it is very unlikely that you
would even contemplate having children. It is very, very rare to find
someone with young children who have consciousness as their priority.
Just staying sane is effort enough with the new beings that are entering
this dimension now.

And it doesn't matter. Nothing matters.
Just do your thing, and have as much fun as you can while doing it.
But if you want to head towards being more conscious, be more honest with
yourself.
