All a mater of perspective?

It has been said that the car is the deadliest weapon created by humans.
Seems that is not so.
In America about  45,000 to 50,000 people a year get killed by cars.

Firearm deaths in the US are 30,000  a year of which about 20,000 are
suicide. And another 10,000 in accidents.

Then we have deaths caused by smoking, drinking and drugs.
(And the starving of the world.)

Plus:
The US death rate due to medical misadventures is around 225,000.
12,000 due to unnecessary surgery, 7,000 from medical errors in hospitals,
20,000 from other errors in hospitals, 80,000 fatalities from infections in
hospitals and 160,000 deaths due to the negative effects of drugs.
So maybe the most lethal is the doctor? Not so...

About 17.5 million people die of cardiovascular disease each year, and most
are due to eating foods of animal origin --so we need to add the number of
animals killed for food -- about 56 billion.

And as the food is eaten with forks -- in conjunction with the human, the
fork is the biggest instrument of death?

PS.
It has also been stated that if humans stopped eating meat the global
climate situation would right itself very quickly.

PPS -- Other estimated statistics:
In the second world war the combat deaths were about 20 million.
And another 20 million civilian deaths.
