something to share - an aspect of what we call reality.
A friend of ours popped into my mind;
She has a young son who has a disability that affects his immune system.
This is some of what came....
Many years ago I met a woman who had an accident and became bedridden.
She was told that she would never be able to walk again. She asked the
doctors for an illustration of the damaged part of her body, and meditated
on that damaged part. After some time she could walk again.
She wrote a book called: "Don't Push the River."
Some years ago when I was giving talks in New York to people who were HIV
positive I met a man who had contracted a brain disintegrating disease from
which no one had ever lived longer than three months. His brain did
disintegrate, then grew again. He has X-Rays to prove it.
A friend was the first documented person to go from HIV positive to HIV
negative.
And people who finished a longer workshop and found that a diagnosed tumor
has disappeared.
And so on.
We do create reality - but it is not easy to understand.
We could just call it the placebo effect. Whatever we call it, and despite
traditional science saying it is impossible, and the Christian church
calling it 'the work of the Devil' - these things do happen.
What I am attempting to share is almost impossible to the conditioned mind.
When I use certain words the mind jumps to what it interprets as the meaning
and either agrees or disagrees. So nothing new is realised.
So here is an experiment for you to try. For most people it is almost
impossible to do the whole thing 'in the head' so best to do it physically.
Sit down in front of largish table.
The table needs to completely clear of all objects.
Now imagine - the table is totally covered with a deep layer of very fine
transparent talcum powder.
Now imagine that the talcum powder is charged with static electricity and is
floating above the surface of the table and is creating a fine mist.
Now imagine that there are small areas in that mist that are more dense.
As the whole area is interconnected, if one of these small dense areas is
disturbed it will affect all of the mist.
Getting it? There is only one. When one is affected, we all are. If one
person in the family is upset, everyone in the family is affected - in fact,
everyone everywhere is affected to some extent.
If we have been told a disease is incurable, then it is. There are studies
to show that we have to be very careful about to whom we go to for
diagnosis.
Nothing is is impossible. Nothing. Negative thinking is handicapping - and
so is positive thinking. Opposites are always based on each other.
So how about acknowledging our preferences, and just being open - to any
possibility.
Love...
